The US$1,800 school lunch

A high school student shared part of a lunch with a friend and wound up up costing the school close to $2,000.
A student at Manvel High School near Houston gave another student part of a pizza brought from home.
Sharing food brought from home is a violation of the state's healthy nutrition guidelines for public schools. Because of that, the state agricultural department will not reimburse the school the $1800 lunch cost for that day.
